Elise is an experienced intellectual property (IP) professional serving as Ventures and Licensing Director at GE Vernova, a company born out of the General Electric Company’s spinoff in April 2024. In her role, Elise strategically monetizes IP to complement the company’s vision, and fosters partnerships and strategic investments with innovative startups. With her help, GE Vernova is driving transformative growth and technological advancements in electrification and decarbonization products and services, positioning itself as a key player in the global energy transition.
With headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts, GE Vernova operates on a global scale, with over 75,000 employees spanning across 140+ countries. The company’s mission revolves around electrifying the world while simultaneously working towards decarbonization, delivering vital electricity to enhance health, safety, security, and overall quality of life.
Elise’s journey to her current position includes valuable experience with the GE Corporate Business Development Licensing team, where she spearheaded IP licensing deals, M&A, and new product strategies. Before joining GE, Elise worked as an international IP strategy/valuation consultant and entrepreneur, honing her skills in creatively monetizing patents, brands, trademarks, and technology across various industries.
Based out of Chicago, Elise holds a law degree from Marquette University and an undergraduate degree in Finance, blending legal acumen with financial expertise to navigate complex business landscapes. A respected voice in the IP field, Elise frequently shares her insights on IP-related matters and remains actively engaged with esteemed organizations such as the Licensing Executives Society, Chicago Women in Intellectual Property, and the Marquette University Law School Sports Law Alumni Association.
