Bryce is Assistant Vice President of Research – Licensing and Strategic Alliances for UM Innovation Partnerships. UM Innovation Partnerships serves UM faculty in partnering with founders, investors, and industry, enabling UM research discoveries to reach the marketplace and positively impact society. Last fiscal year (FY24), the office received 615 new inventions, executed 273 option and license agreements, and helped launch 28 startups. Prior to assuming a leadership role at Innovation Partnerships, Bryce was faculty at UM Law School, where he co-founded the Entrepreneurship Clinic and taught courses related to IP Strategy and Venture Capital. Bryce previously practiced at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in the firm’s intellectual property practice and clerked for the Hon. Amy J. St. Eve in the Northern District of Illinois.
