Laura Collins is Senior Director of Transactions in AstraZeneca’s Business Development team for Oncology R&D. With over 17 years of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, Laura has diverse and extensive leadership with in-licensing, out-licensing, acquisition and collaborations in oncology. Based in Boston, she drives transformational business-to-business activities that push the boundaries of innovative science.
Laura’s journey began with an undergraduate degree in Zoology and a Masters in Research in Biological Sciences from the University of Manchester, UK. She then entered the field of business development for Epistem, a UK-based biotech, and relocated to Boston in 2011 to spearhead the company’s North American growth. Since joining AstraZeneca in 2018, Laura has been instrumental in delivering notable transactions and collaborations, building strong relationships with organizations committed to high-quality science and patient care. Laura is passionate about innovation, collaboration and delivering solutions that create strong lasting partnerships.
