Andraya is a partner at Day Pitney LLP, where she chairs the Intellectual Property Litigation group, and co-chairs Women Working Together (WWT®), an initiative that focuses on professional development and sense of community for women at all levels of the firm.
Andraya’s practice focuses on helping individuals to Fortune-500 companies across industries navigate high stakes trademark, copyright, trade secret, patent, and commercial disputes in federal and state courts, as well as before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Although her practice now leverages her expertise in intellectual property disputes, she cut her teeth on a wide range of litigation matters including product liability, wrongful death, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and commercial disputes.
Andraya’s approach to litigation leverages her diverse experience, creativity, and core values of honesty, empathy, teamwork, and grit. These same values have helped her build longstanding relationships and hold leadership positions within her firm. “People mistakenly think that empathy means ‘caving in.’ It means the opposite. Empathy requires active listening, questioning, and being receptive to new ideas and feedback. It’s amazing what information we gain when we take the time to stop and listen to each other.”
Outside of work, Andraya enjoys spending time with family, including her husband, two children, and golden retriever, running and skiing. She recently completed her third half-marathon.
