Arpi Siyahian is passionate about enabling innovators to protect and commercialize their intellectual property. Prior to joining the firm, Arpi was a Senior Technology Manager at NUtech Ventures, the technology transfer and intellectual property management affiliate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). In her role, she managed a diverse portfolio of UNL innovations ranging from vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics to documentary films and educational curricula. She assessed invention disclosures, made protection/commercialization decisions, and developed an IP protection strategy for these innovations. Arpi worked to build collaborations and secure industry partners to bring these innovations to market. She drafted and negotiated numerous complex intellectual property licenses and sponsored research agreements. Arpi regularly consulted with academic researchers on technology development projects to strengthen intellectual property and render these technologies more desirable for licensing and commercialization. She advised multiple university startups and was an instructor in the Nebraska Introduction to Customer Discovery Program (currently known as Nebraska iCorps).

After receiving her Ph.D. in biological chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Arpi completed postdoctoral studies at the Stanford University School of Medicine, researching congenital heart disease. During her postdoc years, Arpi also worked as a bioresearch informationist at Lane Medical Library at Stanford Medical Center, where she helped connect researchers with bioinformatics tools and services. She completed the Stanford Ignite program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she worked with an entrepreneurial team to develop a student mentorship and networking platform.

As a result of her diverse experiences, Arpi has a unique understanding of the intricacies involved in the commercialization of new innovations. Arpi leans on these experiences when working with clients and helping them achieve their goals.
