Barbara Van Hare

President of Pattern.org

Rare Cancer Research Foundation

Barbara is President of Pattern.org, an initiative of the Rare Cancer Research Foundation (RCRF), which enables patients to donate fresh living tumor tissue from anywhere in the U.S. to research. She manages all of Pattern.org’s tissue collection process, as well as leads all of RCRF’s patient advocacy and institutional relationships. In addition, she is a consultant to the Cancer Cell Line Factory at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, on the Board of Directors for the Alliance for Rare Cancers and on the Advisory Panel for the Sarcoma Coalition. Prior to her work with RCRF, she held various management positions in sales and marketing during her 30-year career at Hallmark Cards. Barbara graduated with a B.A. from Northwestern University.
