Konstantinos Georgaras is the Commissioner of Patents, Registrar of Trademarks and Chief Executive Officer at the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO), performing these duties since 2020, and appointed 2022. Mr. Georgaras joined CIPO in an executive capacity in 2010. He began his career in the public service in 1985 and has held executive positions within the departments of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, and the Science, Technology and Innovation Council. Mr. Georgaras holds a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Carleton University and an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
