Lew runs the LOT Network’s 5G Transparency Project, which seeks to research and understand the 5G SEP Landscape. Lew has invested over 20 years in Cellular SEP research and practice, co-authoring a series of research into Cellular SEP royalty stacking, a chapter in the book 5G and Beyond, Intellectual Property and Competition Policy in the Internet of Things (Cambridge University Press, December 2023), and a number of articles on 5G SEPs, FRAND, and patent transactions. Lew also co-authored the 5GTP’s meta-analysis of 5G landscape analyses, first released at the LES Annual Meeting in New Orleans (2024). Lew advises some of the world’s leading technology companies and technology investors in SEP strategy, licensing, disputes, transactions and other corporate and IP strategy matters.
