I’ve travelled a circuitous route on the journey to a career I love, licensing. I am a proud graduate of Creighton University with a BS in Biology. And, as every biology student aspires to, I attended Mitchell Hamline College of Law and became an attorney.
I honed my skills while working at Honeywell, specifically in the Aerospace division. I climbed the corporate ladder and left as an executive, but my most rewarding roles always involved IP licensing. I finally found what I truly loved to do. It combined my legal skills, scientific training and business management. While in Honeywell Aerospace I led everything from sourcing & procurement compliance, to customer excellence in the global defense & space business, to being a general manager of 5 product lines and receiving my first (and likely only) patent for the satellite connected flight data/voice recorder.
A few years ago, my dream job came open to lead licensing for the Building Automation group. I quickly grew the role into a juggernaut that that did all global TM licensing across the Corporation and technology licensing for 3/4 Honeywell divisions; Building Automation, Industrial Automation, and Energy & Sustainability Solutions.
Recently, I left Honeywell to start my own consulting business, (LM)², LLC. I focus on helping companies discover and implement a licensing program to drive revenue and op income through monetization of their IP tied to aging, non-strategic, or abandoned technology thereby freeing resources to grow.
