Mary Albertson is a seasoned innovation management professional with 30 years of experience in leadership, strategic management, and facilitating the transfer of academic innovations from evaluation through commercialization. Her forward-thinking approach anticipates future trends in technology transfer, forges significant partnerships with industry leaders, and enhances the commercialization pipeline. Her leadership style empowers interdisciplinary teams and expertly navigates intellectual property and innovation management.

As Director of the Office of Technology Licensing at Georgia Tech, Albertson has grown the office to support efficient and creative protection and commercialization of technologies emerging from $1.5 billion in research expenditures, translating them into impactful products.

Previously, she served as Senior Director of Commercialization at PIVOT, University of Utah, managing interdisciplinary teams in innovation management. She also spent over twenty-five years as Associate Director at Stanford University’s Office of Technology Licensing, where she contributed to the strategic growth of the office. As a Past President of AUTM, Albertson advanced strategic goals to position AUTM as an international leader in innovation management.

Albertson is a regular speaker on intellectual property and innovation management at global conferences, educational courses, webinars, and local forums.
